Configuration Manager: Android Configuration
You can publish a mobile application that you developed in Kuika on the Play Store. To publish the application you have developed on the Play Store, you must make the necessary adjustments for the Android operating system through the Kuika Configuration Manager.

To create a new configuration, open the Configuration Manager view mode from within the project you are working on at platform.kuika.com. Select Android from the Web UI, IOS, Android, and API options under the Create a new configuration heading in the Configuration Manager view mode. Name the configuration via the text input box that opens at the bottom and click the "CREATE" button.

On the screen that comes up, you must provide information to prepare your application for publication.

- You must enter the name of the application that you want the application you developed to be displayed in the device in the text input opposite the “Name” heading under the App tab.
- You must enter the information on which URL the application you developed will connect to the Backend via the “Backend URL”.
- The “Bundle ID” title on the screen is a unique keyword that distinguishes your application from other applications. It is recommended to use the Bundle ID structure as "com. Workspace name. application name".
- You can enter advanced information for the application by clicking the “Advanced” button on the screen.

- In the titles that open, you can enter the "Minimum Android Version", the "Release Version" and the application version of the application.
- The “Version” header is the version information of the application. The version information should be entered as “1.0.0”.
In the application you developed, you need to select the Backend Configurations and select "Configuration" in Configuration Manager.

To make the Configuration selection;
- Click the drop-down menu opposite the Configuration heading under the "Backend Settings" tab.
- Select the relevant one among the "Configuration" options in the drop-down menu.
If there is map usage in the Android application you have developed, you must add the map information. To perform this operation, click on the drop-down menu opposite the “Google Maps” heading under the “Maps” tab. Select the “ADD NEW” option in the drop-down menu.

- Add a name for the map to the "Name" heading on the "Google Maps Setting" pop-up screen that opens.
- Then enter the Google Maps “API Key” information. If you haven't created a Google Maps API Key before, you can review the guidelines provided by Google .
To generate an API Key via Google Maps, you must create a new project in Google Cloud Console. You can find detailed information about creating a new project.
If the application you developed has "Camera" usage, "Location" access and "Notification" sending functions, you need to ask permission from the user for these functions. At this point, in the “Permission Labels” section on the screen, you should explain in detail how and why these permissions will be obtained. Click the drop-down menu opposite the headings under “Permission Labels” to fill in this information. Click “ADD NEW” in the menu that opens. Enter the permission title and content information on the pop-up screen.
The language options in your application will appear on this screen. You should prepare the permission content by the languages that the application has.

Choose the "Orientation" tab to manage the screen orientations of the application. These settings are:
- Both horizontal and vertical use
- Vertical use only
- Horizontal use only

You can add an icon or logo to the "Splash" screen of the application. You can also change the background color on the splash screen. You also need to add an “APP Icon” for your app.

Follow the steps below to add an icon or logo to the “Splash” screen of the application, change the background color and add the “APP Icon”.

- CHANGE” button under the Splash image to add an “icon ” or “logo” to the “Splash screen” of the application.
- You can add your pictures in “PNG” file format via the “Media Gallery” pop-up screen. The images you have added before will also be listed in the Media Gallery.
- Complete the process of adding an image to the Splash screen by clicking on the image listed in the Media Gallery that you want to use.
- “Default” size or “Stretch” size via the drop-down menu opposite the “Image Fit” heading.
- To change the background color of the splash screen, fill the area opposite the "Splash Color" heading with the "Hex" code of the color you want to use.
- For Android apps, you should add app icons in two different formats, square and round.
- To add a square application icon, you must click the “CHANGE” button under the square format opposite the “App Icon” heading and upload your application icon in “square format” to the opened Media Gallery.
- To add a round application icon, you must click the “CHANGE” button under the round format opposite the “App Icon” heading and upload your application icon in “Round Format” to the opened Media Gallery.
- Complete the process of adding an application icon by clicking the icon listed in the Media Gallery that you want to use.
After filling in all the required fields, click the "CREATE" button to create the Android Configuration settings.

The Android Configuration you created will be added to the menu on the left of the Configuration screen. Then, to edit the Configuration settings, you can click on the relevant Configuration added to the left menu and perform the editing operations.
